"Mother Country" or "Devilish Country"?

When the Tamil Nadu assembly passed a resolution calling for Pirapakaran's arrest and deportation to India Nehru lost his temper. He described India not as "Thainadu"(Mother Country) of the Tamils but a "Pei Nadu" (Devilish Country).
